Christmas Pictures At Last...

So Christmas begin at Reed's family's. So fun, but Logan... well he needed much coaching. And Grandpa is doing a fabulous job. Logan was a very timid gift opener. We all just pitched in and helped him open gifts. The action began when he could control himself... there were more than 2 toys out at once and he didn't no where to begin.

There were Mommy's gifts, Daddy's gifts and Logan's gifts... but to Logan they were all HIS GIFTS. He just went from gift stack to gift stack tossing everything here or there. It was an action packed evening although was a "timid" gift opener... we all know Logan is a "mover and a shaker." There isn't too much about my son that one could qualify as timid other than his snuggly, naptime or bedtime habits. So as soon as we revealed the goodies underneath the wrapping he was quick to investigate the goodies but as far as the wrapping... he would wait for Mom, Dad, Grandma or Grandpa to unwrap the goodies for him. Unwrapping... not Logan's business, playing with the goodies... now that's all Logan's business.

Then Christmas morning was a whole different adventure at my Mom's house. For one thing, Logan isn't the only person in his pajamas. The whole gang was still in their jammies and I had to throw on my hat... even on Christmas I refuse to let the camera catch my crazy hair untamed. Haha. Still the unwrapping was a rather calm adventure. Here I am trying my best to start the ripping in hopes that Logan will surely take over in sheer excitement.

So this is uncle Scott, my brother, in his jammies opening up our gift to him. I am very happy to say that when we returned to Orange County after the holidays were all wrapped up, he proudly deemed this shirt his brand new "SEXY" shirt. Ha! I guess Reed and I do have good taste after all. Even if in Scott's eyes we are OLD! Even my mom hit it off with Scott. He was so excited about the sweater vest my Mom gave him as well as his "pity basket" full of goodies to eat when his college budget runs extra thin! I remember those college days eating Ramen for every meal except for breakfast... breakfast of course was a ziplock back full of dry cereal and a bottle of water on the way to class. The comment for the year was when my mom said that "Ramen is really good, you just have to add 'FOOD' to it!" Reed and I laughed histarically because for the past weeks we have been trying to explain to Scott that the reason why he is always so hungry is because Ramen is not REAL FOOD. Obviously my mom even agrees.

Mom was boring this year and mainly focused on clothes for Christmas. Little Logan was much more pleased with Daddy's fabulous idea... Logan's very own set of keys! Yep that is right this gift is 'kid tested and mother approved.' Logan has his very own pair of keys but they are as germ free as any of his other toys. They haven't been in car doors, ignitions, and more. Plus we even clean them. Logan doesn't know the difference. To him they are just like Daddy's keys for the Golden Spoon stores because they are on one of those stretchy wristband things too. Look at this little man's face. Does it get any happier than that?

So this is an ironic picture. Why you ask? Well, kids... they never want their own toys/things. That's why my pessimistic attitude is why get them any at all. Keep the dollars in your pocket for something more useful and let them love your adult things. Of course you have to kid proof them, but I am on my soap box again... pots and pans, moms and dads are the best toys out there. Here we are Christmas morning, uncle Brandon is trying to show Logan his new book and what does Logan want to do, check out Grandma's gifts of course. They are much more interesting!! A bag of chex mix is what he has in his hands. Ironic I say and hilarious.

Finally, a gift that thrills the little man. I think the size of the box is what did it. But honestly inside of this box is a "push car" at least that's what I call it. Logan can stand up, hold on to the handle for support and walk away as he pushes this thing on wheels. Plus it's colorful and has other gadgets as well. I will definitely need to post a picture of him pushing/walking away.
